FRANKFORT- When Bill Donahue Weller of Big Heavy Productions decided to organize Mohawk Valley Tattoo Expo ’08, he was hoping to offer “something new and different in the valley, to bring more people out,” he said.
With a combination of car and motorcycle shows, concerts and about a dozen body artists from around the area, that’s exactly what he did.

FRANKFORT, N.Y. (WKTV) – The Mohawk Valley Tattoo Expo is being held this weekend at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds. The second annual event kicked off on Friday.
Attending the event are over 35 tattoo artists and body piercers on hand.
If you are considering getting a tattoo for the first time, one artist says it is important to shop around. Nate Pellecchia of Nato’s Ink says, “mainly do your research, look at their work, look at their art, look for pictures, word of mouth is great too” in regards to getting a tattoo for the first time.
The Tattoo Expo runs through Sunday and is open each night until 1:00 a.m.
